CANDLE CARE

Taking proper care of your candles ensures they burn safely and beautifully. Follow these guidelines for the best results:

  • Trim the Wick – Always trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before lighting your candle. This helps maintain a steady flame, reduces smoke, and prevents soot from forming on the jar.

  • Allow a Full Melt Pool – On the first burn, let the wax melt completely across the surface, reaching the edges of the container. This prevents "tunneling," where wax builds up along the sides, shortening the candle's life.

  • Monitor Burn Times – Avoid burning your candle for longer than 4 hours at a time. Extended burns can cause the jar to overheat. On the flip side, burning for less than an hour can create uneven wax, so aim for 1-4 hours per session.

  • Choose a Safe Location – Always place your candle on a heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, flammable materials, or anything that could tip it over. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

  • Extinguish Safely – Use a candle snuffer to put out the flame, or blow it out gently to prevent splattering hot wax. Avoid using the lid or other objects to extinguish it.

By following these simple steps, you’ll enjoy a cleaner, longer-lasting burn while keeping safety a priority.
